KARACHI: KMC Administrator Rauf Akhter Farooqui has said that with the abolition of adhocism in KMC and after the compilation of seniority list, every officer and subordinate staff would get merit based promotion only. The teachers must now pay full attention on imparting good education to children and the administration will solve their problems.

He said this while addressing a meeting of teachers of KMC schools in the Z.A. Nizami seminar hall at Civic Centre which was called to have close inter-action with them in order to achieve the cherished objective of bringing KMC schools into disciplinary circle and improve their academic environment.

In his thought provoking and soul stirring address on the occasion, Farooqui called upon the teaching community members that they will have to employ their capabilities honestly and transfer the same among the children supposed to shoulder the future national responsibilities.

“Within eleven months we have reached a stage where we can now provide protection to due rights of teachers including their promotions, seniority etc which previously used to be dealt with an element of adhocism”, he said

Administrator Karachi urged the teachers to perform their responsibilities as they are supposed to prepare a generation and for this they should realize their responsibilities honestly.

Earlier in his address Advisor to Administrator Brig (Rtd) A.S. Nasir pointed out the important role the teachers can perform. He said that whole nation has great expectations from teaching community and Karachi, being the biggest metropolis of the country, can play a leading role in this respect. He appreciated administrator for giving top priority to education which, he observed, is the basis for a strong nation building.
