Rehabilitation of TDPs govt’s top priority: Minister

ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday said that early rehabilitation of Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) was the priority of the government and all resources were being utilized for this purpose.

Speaking at a ceremony here, he said that’s armed forces were valiantly fighting terrorists of all hues and colours in North Waziristan Agency and elsewhere in FATA and it (army) had achieved unparalleled success in the ongoing Operation ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ by rendering supreme sacrifices.

He said army was not only waging a war against terrorists but also extending full support in rebuilding the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). He said entire nation is proud of its armed forces and stands united behind them in their effort to fight the scourge of terrorism.

He said besides management of TDPs, the army was also protecting the country against any blowback from terrorists’ organizations. He said elimination of terrorism is the main concern of the government, adding that the operation is progressing as planned and is being eulogized by the entire nation.
