River inflow and outflow position

Lahore: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:

Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 79,300 cusecs and Outflows 78,700 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 16,600 cusecs and Outflows 16,600 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 56,000 cusecs and Outflows 56,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 33,900 cusecs and Outflows 27,600 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 86,100 cusecs and Outflows 77,800 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 84,800 cusecs and Outflows 73,800 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 60,900 cusecs and Outflows 45,000 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 100,400 cusecs and Outflows 84,600 Guddu- Inflows 195,900 cusecs and Outflows 173,500 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 255,700 cusecs and Outflows 203,600 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 129,191 cusecs and Outflows 93,596 cusecs.

Reservoirs’ Level and Storage: Tarbela – dead level 1380 feet, present level 1550.00 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 6.450 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla – dead level 1040 feet, present level 1242.00 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 7.392 MAF, Chashma – dead level 637 feet, present level 648.40 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.260 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
