KARACHI: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 150600 cusecs and Outflows 150000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 71000 cusecs and Outflows 71000 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 54100 cusecs and Outflows 30000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 50800 cusecs and Outflows 20700 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 200500 cusecs and Outflows 192000 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 218100 cusecs and Outflows 223000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 201400 cusecs and Outflows 181900 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 12200 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs, Guddu- Inflows 163900 cusecs and Outflows 133500 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 117700 cusecs and Outflows 67200 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 39400 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.
Tarbela- Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1461.10 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.023 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla- Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1223.70 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 6.004 MAF.
Chashma- Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 645.60 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.156 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
