KARACHI: The position of the river inflows and outflows at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma along with the reservoirs levels and the barrages today is as under:
Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 154800 cusecs and Outflows 140000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 71400 cusecs and Outflows 71400 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla- Inflows 57900 cusecs and Outflows 30000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala- Inflows 55400 cusecs and Outflows 25300 cusecs.
Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 205800 cusecs and Outflows 197600 cusecs, Chashma -Inflows 220400 cusecs and Outflows 223000 cusecs, Taunsa- Inflows 201000 cusecs and Outflows 179500 cusecs, Panjnad- Inflows 14400 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs, Guddu- Inflows 160300 cusecs and Outflows 130100 cusecs, Sukkur- Inflows 114800 cusecs and Outflows 62600 cusecs, Kotri- Inflows 39300 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.
Tarbela- Minimum operating level 1380 feet, present level 1461.10 feet, maximum conservation level 1550 feet, live storage today 2.023 million acre feet (MAF). Mangla- Minimum operating level 1040 feet, present level 1223.05 feet, maximum conservation level 1242 feet, live storage today 5.956 MAF.
Chashma- Minimum operating level 637 feet, present level 646.40 feet, maximum conservation level 649 feet, live storage today 0.180 MAF. The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6.00 a.m.
