Rs. 62 Crore 60 Lac allocated for 16 Projects of Minerals Dev: Department

Peshawar: The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after the approval of provincial cabinet has presented its budget estimates for 2015-16 in the session of Provincial Assembly on Monday.

The PTI led present provincial government in accordance to its commitment to bring about real change in the life of general public, has presented a balanced and public-friendly budget according to the expectations of the people.

The budget was estimated as total amount of 487 billion 88 crore & 40 lac focusing particularly on education, health and other sectors directed linked with people. The huge amount of Rs. 62 crore and sixty lac was also allocated for the 16 projects of minerals development department.

The most valuable projects were proposed in annual development programme to make the mineral resources uplift of the provincial economy, including discovery of mineral resources, construction of roads, establishment of metallurgy research centres and the requisition of land for the regional office of mineral department at Chitral.

The initiatives would also be taken to promote investment opportunities in the minerals sector of the province.
