Rubina pays surprise visit to Directorate of Women Development

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Women Development and Special Education Ms Rubina Qaim Khani paid surprise visit to Directorate of Women Development and suspended the services of 18 officers and staff members who were found absent from their duty and also ordered stoppage of their salaries.

She also visited Women Police Station Saddar and met imprisoned women. She also checked the record and expressed her displeasure when found it incomplete and also took serious note of absence of women police staff members.

Rubina talked to IG Sindh police on telephone and recommended him action against the SHO and absent staff.

The minister during visit of the police station directed officers of women development to establish a counter of women development department at all the women police stations to facilitate the complainant who go there to register their complaints.

Minister women development also visited the Child Center of Women Development Department and distributed the gifts among the children. On the occasion, the minister said the PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto had assigned all the ministers and elected representatives to hold the open kacheries and hear the problems of general public.

She directed the officers to work for welfare of masses and redress their grievances without any delay, otherwise action would be taken accordingly.
