“Sehat Ka Ittehad” campaign launches at Dosehra in CharsaddaMarch 31, 2015
Peshawar: A three months long “Sehat Ka Ittehad” campaign was formally launched at Dosehra in Charsadda District in along with inauguration of free medical camp for the people of the area.
The free medical camp was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner Charsadda, Noor Wali Khan while District Programme Support Manager PPHI, Mukhtiar Khan Wazir, Executive Manager PPHI, Gul Nawaz, Specialist doctors, social mobilisers and dignitaries of the area were present on the occasion.
A large number of people thronged to the medical camp where in free consultation, treatment and medicine were provided to them.
Immunization facility against polio and other preventable diseases was also available in the camp. Awareness literature for prevention of dengue was also made available in the camp.
It is pertinent to mention here that under three month long “Sehat Ka Ittehad” campaign, three free medical camps will be arranged in the each of the 13 backward union councils of the district.
Facilities such as anti polio immunization, measles, TB and other dangerous diseases will be extended to the people in such camps. Similarly, diagnostic tests for hepatitis B and C, and sugar will be also arranged free of cost in the scheduled medical camps.
Moreover, standard drugs provided by PPHI and UNICEF as well as delivery kids for pregnant mothers will be available free of cost in the above mentioned camps.
Mukhtiar Khan Wazir, District Programme Support Manager while explaining aims and objectives of the “Sehat Ka Ittehad” campaign hoped that people of the backward areas will benefited from this drive. He said that PPHI would arrange free medical camp in areas where health facilities were not available. “The campaign is initiated to provide free medical facilities to the masses of the deprived areas”, he remarked.
