Seven alleged terrorists killed in Suhrab Goth

KARACHI: Seven alleged terrorists killed, and three others managed to flee in a targeted operation in Suhrab Goth here on Wednesday.

According to police, Malir Police took a targeted operation in Afghan Basti and Machhar Colony areas of Suhrab Goth on intelligence reports. Police faced resistance in the area and an encounter began. However, police killed seven alleged terrorists and recovered large quantity of weapon and ammunition, while three terrorists managed to flee.

Talking to media, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwar said police raided a house on intelligence report where 10 terrorists were hidden.

However, as police reached there, the terrorists opened fire on police and it retaliatory firing seven armed men were killed.

A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from their possession.

In targeted operation at least 500 police constables took part. The ages of killed terrorists are between 25 and 30 years.

Edhi ambulance sources said they were shifting the bodies to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
