Shah Farman asks details of water supply schemes in KP till Dec:3

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE) Shah Farman has directed the high ups of his department to present details of clean drinking water supply schemes in all districts of the province till 3rd December.

He issued these directives while presiding over a high level meeting of PHE Department at Civil Secretariat Peshawar on Tuesday. Secretary PHE and XENs, Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers from all over the province attended the meeting. Provincial PHE Minister said the department was duty bound to provide clean drinking water to all people of the province adding that no lethargy on the part of officers or officials of the department in this regard would be borne.

He directed to provide details of functional, disfunctional, new schemes as well as those existing clean drinking water supply schemes which needed rehabilitation, estimated cost, time of completion and mapping etc. He said he would personally keep on checking these schemes randomly.

He also directed the officers to provide details of required water supply schemes, their cost as well as time of completion in those areas where the facility of clean water had not been provided. He directed the higher authorities to work day and night as a team work so as to fulfill their duty of providing clean drinking water to the people of the province.

Shah Farman made it clear that the officers of PHE Department had to fulfill their obligation with honesty and dedication. He said the use of sub-standard material in any PHE scheme would not be borne and added that the system of punishment and reward would strictly be acted upon in the department.
