SHC seeks comments regarding missing of Kamal Malick

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday issued notices to Director General Rangers Sindh and Inspector General Sindh, to submit their comment on a petition seeking whereabouts Kamal Malick, a member of MQM coordination committee.

SHC bench headed by Justice Irfan Saadat took up the petition filed by Asma Kamal, wife of Kamal Malick, who moved the court against law enforcers for illegally detaining her spouse.

The petitioner stated that Kamal was at home on midnight of 8th October when the law enforcers whisked him away.

Citing DG Rangers Sindh, IGP Sindh and SHO Haidery police station as respondents, she prayed the court to direct the respondents to produce her husband before the court and disclose the reason of his arrest.

After the initial hearing, the court issued notices to Attorney General and respondents to file their comments on 15th October.
