Shortage of doctors to be ended: Jam Mehtab

KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Monday took a serious notice of shortage of doctors in Civil Hospital Sukkur and directed the secretary health to look into the matter and depute more doctors in order to provide relief to the patients.

In a statement, Health Minister also directed the secretary health to take departmental action against those doctors who had gone abroad on ex-Pakistan Leave but they did not return and their absence was causing problems to the people.

He also took notice of delay in completion of four development schemes at Civil Hospital Sukkur and asked the secretary health and MS of hospital to ensure their earlier completion without delay.

He said senior and specialists doctors should be assigned important wards of the hospital so that the patients may get relief when they visit the hospital. He said it is the duty of an elected government to provide better health care facilities to their people at their door step.’ he concluded.
