Karachi: Pasban-e-Pakistan has demanded of the law enforcing agencies to show the arrest of two missing young real brothers, Saad and Mohammad, sons of Pasban-e-Pakistan General Secretary Usman Moazzam who himself is also detained.
Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club (KPC) on Tuesday, Pasban-e-Pakistan President Altaf Shakoor said Pasban has always played a pivotal role in promoting patriotism and uphold of the rule of law and constitution. He said when Pasban general secretary Usman Moazzam was whisked away from his residence they offered every kind of cooperation to the government and security agencies. He said that they do not want any concession but just the uphold of law and constitution.
He demanded that the rangers after keeping Usman Moazzam in their custody for one month recently presented him before a court. However, his son Mohammad Siddiqui was also taken away by the rangers. He said when Moazzam was presented before the court his son Siddiqui should also have to be presented before the court.
He told the media that Moazzam was only taking legal efforts for the recovery of his another son Saad Siddiqui, missing since June 11, 2015 and a FIR 84/2015 in this regard has already been lodged with the Samanabad police.
He regretted that taking action against Moazzam they failed to differentiate between a friend and a foe. He said an even-handed approach for upholding of law is a must to make Pakistan a law-abiding society.
On the occasion, the spouse of Moazzam, Suboohi Usman, said though the court has already ordered allowing family members of Usman Moazzam to meet him but when on last Friday she went to meet her husband she was not allowed to meet Usman. She said their lawyer is filing a constitutional petition in the Sindh High Court for the recovery of Mohammad and Saad. She disclosed that when she contacted law enforcers on telephone they denied that Mohammad was in their custody.
Pasban senior vice president Aftabuddin Shaikh demanded that Saad and Mohammad should be presented before a court of law and allowed to defend themselves.
