Sindh assembly adjourned to express sympathy with families of heatstroke victims

Karachi: No business was taken by the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday to show solidarity with the victims of heat stroke in Sindh, especially Karachi.

The House offered Fateha for victims of heat stroke in Karachi. In requests for Fateha the lawmakers from both sides harshly criticized K-Electric and the speaker was requested to adjourn today’s sitting to show the sympathy to their heirs of the heat stroke victims. It was demanded to lodge FIR against K-E for the deaths of innocent citizens due to cruel load shedding in this very hot summer weather

After Fateha, the Leader of the Opposition Khuwaja Izharul Hassan spoke on point of order. He harshly criticized the K-E. He requested to adjourn the House to show solidarity with the bereaved families of heat stroke victims. He also gave some suggestions to meet the crisis.

Later, the Leader of the House, CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah expressed sympathy with the bereaved family, told about steps taken by his government to meet the crisis and assured to take action against the KE.

Later, the speaker adjourned the House till Wednesday, June 24 at 10:00am.
