Sindh assembly passes pro-KE resolution

Karachi: Sindh Assembly on Tuesday passed a resolution for continuing supply of 650megawat electricity to privately-own power distribution utility of Karachi, the K-Electric.

Senior Minister for Education and Literacy Nisar Ahmed Khuhro tabled the resolution which said this assembly resolves and recommends to the government to approach the federal government to continue supply of 650MW from National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) to K-Electric.

The House passed the resolution unanimously; however, MQM lawmakers were not present in the house due to their boycott to the speech of Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
