SIU nabs three criminals

KARACHI: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Muhammad Farooq Awan on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three criminals form Shahrah-e-Quaideen in the city.

SSP said that SIU police conducted a raid at Shahrah-e-Quaideen near Khudadad Colony and arrested three criminals Akbar, Naveed alias Naveedi, and Danish alias Rehan. He said that the arrested criminals were involved in various cases of murders, attempted to murders, robberies and other heinous crimes.

Awan said that Akbar was involved in the killing of Assistant Director EOBI Qamar Abbas in 2013. Three pistols with bullets were also recovered from the possession of the arrested men, claimed police. Further investigation was underway.
