Six die in Karachi mishaps

KARACHI: Six people died and three other severe injured in separate accidents on Tuesday morning.

According to details, Rani, 20, w/o Sadiq died of gunshot allegedly fired by a security guard during cleaning his gun near Shadab Masjid at Gulberg Block 11. The guard had fled away. The victim was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Unknown people attacked two women, Mehnaz, 40, d/o Ijaz and Shaheen, 30, with knives at Orangi Town Sector 11. They were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where Shaheen died and Mehnaz was admitted for medical treatment.

In another accident, a resident of North Karachi, Qasim, 60, s/o Peer Bukhsh died after unknown people opened fire on him near Hamdard University at Northern Bypass. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

In another mishap, an unknown person aged 35 died when hit by a blunt material at his home at Future Morr, Landhi. He was taken to Jinnah Hospital.

A child, aged 3, was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Jamali Goth, Superhighway. The body was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Another child of same age was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Malir Memon Goth and the body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

Unknown people opened firing on two men Farooq, 39, s/o Shakoor and Mehboob, 35, at Orangi Town Sector 11 ½ . They injured were rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
