Karachi: All Pakistan Organization of Small Traders and Cottage Industries (APOSTCI) has rejected the rise in prices of petroleum products and gas and termed it a conspiracy against growing Pakistani exports

APOSTCI Karachi chapter president Mehmood Hamid said in past the rulers did not transfer the benefit of low oil prices in international market to Pakistani consumers by levying more taxes on it. He said the rulers are acting as slaves of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and busy in leeching blood of Pakistanis.

He said the national economy has already been facing problems and with the rise in prices of petroleum products and gas the production cost would go up by at least 35percent, rendering Pakistani products non-competitive in the international market. He demanded to withdraw the decision to hike gas and oil rates immediately.
