SOP organizes Regional Games from tomorrow

Karachi: Special Olympics Pakistan (SOP) is organizing two-day Regional Games 2014 from Monday here at National Coaching Center. SOP annually organizes these Regional Games in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to groom special athletes for international events.

This year’s Regional Games will also help SOP identify talented special players for World Games to be held in Los Angeles to be held in 2015.

The Regional Games will have several events in its fold. Athletics will be competed in 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 4×100 meter relay, RLJ, shot-put both for male and female special players.

The male and female players will also compete in singles and doubles events in the game of badminton. The table tennis events will be organized in the same manner.

Meanwhile, basketball will be a team event, which will be competed separately by male and female players.
