Speakers stress need to fellow traffic rule

Sialkot: The speakers of a day-long seminar on “Traffic problems in Sialkot and our responsibilities” have stressed need of making all out sincere collective and individual efforts to spread maximum awareness about the implementation on traffic rules and road safety in Sialkot.

Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahi presided over the seminar held at the auditorium of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) here today.

Sialkot DPO Muhammad Gohar Nafees, SP (Traffic) Gujranwala Region Hammad Raza Qureshi , President SCCI Dr. Sarfraz Bashir, DSP Traffic Sialkot Muhammad Waseem Akhtar , President Sialkot District Bar Association (DBA) Shahid Mir Advocate, senior journalists Zafar Malik, Abid Hussain Mehdi, Arif Mehmood Sheikh, Imran Rehman, Muhammad Ayub Khan, Abdul Majeed Butt (President Photo Journalists’ Association Sialkot District) and the representatives of Sialkot’s all the main trade bodies, traders, lawyers, doctors, journalists, educationists and members of civil society organizations attended the seminar.

While addressing the seminar, Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu pledged to make all out sincere collective and individual efforts to ensure road safety through curbing the menace of one-wheeling on motorcycles, besides, promoting the sense of abiding the traffic rules and laws.

The participants also urged the government to include the traffic rules implementation chapters in the curriculum of the government schools, to teach the students about the implementation on the traffic rules to ensure the lives, in this regard.

Sialkot DPO Muhammad Gohar Nafees lauded the efforts and performance of the traffic police officials for ensuring the implementation on one way traffic system in Sialkot city, in this regard.

The participants were told that the traffic police have already launched traffic education programme in all the government and private educational institutions in Sialkot district for promoting the sense of implementing the traffic rules.
