Sports: (Islamabad Academy beats Islamabad Club in football tournament)

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Academy entered quarter final in Staff Welfare Football Tournament after beating Islamabad Club by 3-0 here at T and T Ground on Monday.

Vice President, Mohammad Zaman, Secretary Syed Sharafat Hussain Bukhari, PFF former Information Secretary, Rana Tanveer Ahmed and a large number of peoples were also present on the occasion. In the 6th minutes of the first half, Nisar scored first goal for Islamabad Academy.

Islamabad Academy was leading 1-0 at the end of the first half. Nisar doubled the margin 2-0 in the 9th minutes of the second half. In the 18th minutes of the second half, Shahbaz scored third goal for Islamabad Academy.

Hassan and Arslan missed the corner in the 11th and 25th minutes of the first half. Ali Agha, Saifullah and Hamza Abbas played well for winning team while Noman and Ehtisham were outstanding for losing team.

20 best teams are taking part in the tournament. The tournament is being played on knock out basis under PFF rules.
