Sri Lankan Air Force Commander visits Air HQs

ISLAMABAD: Air Marshal Kolitha Aravinda Gunatilleke, Commander of Sri Lanka Air Force on visited Air Headquarters here on Thursday.

On his arrival at Air Headquarters, the distinguished guest was received by Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force.

According to a PAF press note, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Air Force presented the Guard of Honour. After reviewing the Guard of Honour, he was introduced to the Principal Staff Officers of Pakistan Air Force.

The visiting guest paid homage to the martyrs of PAF by laying floral wreath on Martyrs’ Monument at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.

Later on, the visiting dignitary called on Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt in his office. Both remained together for some time and discussed matters of professional interest. The delegation also attended a briefing at Air Headquarters on the organization, role and functioning of Pakistan Air Force.

The Commander of the Sri Lankan Air Force also visited Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra. On his arrival, he was received by Air Marshal Javaid Ahmed, Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Board, Kamra.

The delegation was briefed about organization and functions of PAC Kamra. The delegation visited Aircraft Rebuild Factory and Aircraft Manufacturing Factory. They took keen interest in the Final Assembly Line and Flight Testing facilities of JF-17 Thunder and Super Mushshak aircraft.

The Sri Lankan Air Force delegation is on a three days visit to Pakistan Air Force. The delegation will visit various PAF bases and installations.
