SSUET announces revised pay scale and other facilities to employeesNovember 7, 2015
KARACHI: Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), Jawaid Anwar has said: “I have always believed in governing with respect. I am looking forward to reaching out working together to meet the challenges that we can only solve together with no political conflict.
He was addressing to Aligarians at the reception held to celebrate the victory of Zakir Ali Khan Panel in the election of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association (AMUOBA). Congratulating his team on a hard-fought campaign he said winning election Zakir Ali Khan Panel gained historic opportunity to change the things to the constructive growth and betterment at the campus and Association. We will provide a favorable environment for everyone to pursue his own individual dream to the great heights of hope he added.
Elaborating further he said, I am not taking you to blind optimism, or to wishful idealism. Keeping our promise, we have immediately started to deliver. As for first move we have reopened the hockey ground opposite the campus for parking of SSUET employees and students’ vehicles after so many years. The place will also be provided with facilities for sports activities to the students.
He pointed out that pay scale of the employees will be revised in coming months and to demonstrate transparency, tenders have been called for medical insurance to the employees. Chancellor Jawaid Anwar told that instructions have been given to the concerned authorities to prepare a performance-based audit report of each department on the basis of which promotions and facilities will be announced on merit.
Appreciating the role of teachers in the society he said, Faculty is the backbone of the university and they must be provided with the better facilities. He asked them to make efforts to boost the image of the university.
Chancellor Jawaid Anwar asked Vice Chancellor and faculty members to join hands with him to bring a constructive change in the university following the great vision of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan who awaken the Muslims from the slumber of ignorance and opened up venues for modern learning.
In recognition of 50 years’ valuable service of ideal Aligarian Late Mohammad Zakir Ali Khan, shields were presented to his sons Mohammad Nadir Ali Khan and Mohammad Akbar Ali Khan. On this auspicious occasion, also a standing ovation was given to Mr Mazhar Aslam Zuberi who had donated an abundant part of his retirement money, 51 lakh rupees, to the Association and recently gave 1 lakh for the construction of Sir Syed Tower, while he himself is living in an ordinary apartment.
Earlier Vice President AMUOBA, Tariq Sabzwari, said we follow the mission of the great visionary Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and victory of Zakir Ali Khan panel is a pleasant change.
The event was beautifully conducted by Noshaba Siddiqui and it was concluded by the National Anthem and Tarana e Aligarh.
