Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League Sindh chapter president Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that some big political parties are weakening the federation of Pakistan, but the patriotic people of Pakistan have already rejected them.
He was addressing a big rally against the hate-based statements of Indian leaders at Mirpurkhas on Thursday.
The ‘Pakistan Zindabad rally’ arranged by PML Sindh marched from State Life Building to Mirpurkhas Press Club. They raised slogans of Long Live Pakistan and made a long human hands chain to show solidarity with the brave armed forces of Pakistan. They set on fire the effigies of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi and Indian defence minister Manohar and raised slogans against India.
Speaking to the rally, Haleem Adil Sheikh said a few big political parties are involved in weakening the federation. He said the objectionable words of PPP co-chairman against the army chief have disappointed the Pakistani nation and encouraged the enemies of Pakistan.
He said his party, PML, has held rallies in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Dadu, Kashmore, Kandhkot and other towns to express solidarity with the armed forces of Pakistan and burnt the effigies of the Indian leaders. He said during the last five years the PPP had harmed the country, but now they should know that time has changed. He said hatred-based words should not be used by them now, which can harm the country and its armed forces. He said the history shows that the States that went weakened were weakened after their armed forces were weakened. He said Libya, Iraq, Syria and other such countries were damaged because their armed forces were weakened. He said Al-Hamdullilah our armed forces are very strong.
He said a few political parties that in past were considered as symbol of the federation were now weakening the federation just to save their criminal elements. He said the PPPP has no right to criticize the patriotic generals. He said that the Pakistani nation loves their armed forces and their commanders. He said that if the PPP leaders failed to take heeds the people would also burn their effigies. He said the PPP does not see the armed forces that are fighting terrorism bravely. He said the PML fully stands shoulder by shoulder with the armed forces. He said his party announces not to relate to the persons who are talking against the esteem of the armed forces.
Later, talking to media, he said the PPP government during last five years did not give anything to the people of Sindh. Not only education and health but all other sectors in Sindh have been damaged by these rulers. He said we have also said about the MQM that they should expel the criminal elements from their ranks and files and we also urge the PPP to expel the criminal elements from their party, instead of patronizing them.
