Students pay rich tribute to Quaid

KARACHI: A speech contest was organized for university students by Literary & Debating Society of Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College here on Thursday. Students paid rich tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on his 66th death anniversary.

The contest was divided into two language groups; English and Urdu. Students delivered speeches in the respective languages. A large number of people including teachers, students, professors, and others were present on the occasion.

Masroor Phulphoto secured first position in Urdu speech contest, Bakthawar Shah stood second, while Urooba Muneer secured third position.

Meanwhile, Sabah Farrukh got first position in English speech contest, Taimoor Janjua second and Saher Muneeb got third position.

At the end of the contest, award distribution ceremony was held.

While addressing the ceremony, Principal and Dean Professor Dr Ameer Ali Shoro said that measures were being taken to ensure healthy activities. He praised the initiatives of literary.

Chairperson Literary and Debating Society, Faryal Abidi, briefed about the objectives of literary society and distributed awards and trophies among students.
