SU approves 14 PhD, 15 M Phil degreesOctober 14, 2014
Jamshoro, Sindh: The Advanced Studies and Research Board (ASRB) of the University of Sindh has approved to award degrees of M. Phil and PhD to 29 scholars who have successfully completed their research in different disciplines of science, social sciences, Islamic culture and humanities.
The approval was given at the 119th meeting of the advanced studies and research board (ASRB) presided over by Vice-chancellor Prof Dr. Imdad Ali Ismaili here on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by pro-vice chancellors & deans of different faculties, nominees of syndicate as well as academic council Dr. Abdullah Dayo, Dr. Parveen Munshi, Dr. Abdul Rasool Abbasi, Dr. Parvez Ahmed Pathan, Dr. Syed Javed Iqbal, Dr. Muhammad Siddique Kalhoro, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Lakho, Dr. Faryal Almani, Registrar Ghulam Muhammad Bhutto, Dean Research & Graduate Studies Dr. Saleha Parveen, Muhammad Nawaz Narejo, Dr. Hakim Ali Kanasero, Dr. Sarfraz Hussain Solangi, Aslam Parvaiz Memon & controller of annual examinations Prof. Dr. Naeem Tariq Narejo.
On the occasion, Dean, Research & Graduate Studies Prof. Dr. Saleha Parveen presented the agenda item wise.
It approved to award 14 PhD degrees to Khalid Noor Panhwar in public administration, Ayaz Hussain Qadri in zoology, Tahira Jabeen Umrani in zoology, Qadeer Khan Panhwar in analytical chemistry, Yasmeen Junejo in analytical chemistry, Syed Akhtar Adil Shah in physical education, Santosh Kumar Chand in sociology, Afshan Naz Memon in Islamic culture, Allah Wasayo Dakhan in Sindhi, Abdul Jabbar Kandhro in chemistry, Ghulam Dastaghir Achakzai in fresh water biology & fisheries, Soniha Aslam Ghori in physical education, Muhammad Ishaque Mirbahar in Sindhi and Laila Abidi in Urdu.
Similarly, 15 MPhil degrees were approved for Shamim Akhtar Odhano in zoology, Qamar-Un-Nisa Lark in Islamic culture, Nazir Bano Dero in education, Shahnawaz Lakho in education, Adnan Rasheed Memon in botany, Asiya Haleema in botany, Neelam Bhatti in botany, Iqbal Ahmed Qureshi in mathematics, Zaib-Ul Nisa in mathematics, Nadeem Ahmed Kanasro in computer science, Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman Jamali in computer science, Fariq Gul Pathan in physical education, Muhammad Naeem Khan in physical education, Mehmoud Al Jawarneh in information technology and Hameedullah Bhutto in Islamic culture.
