Teachers urged to develop emotional intelligence of children

Karachi: Teachers should nurture and develop the emotional intelligence of children with utmost care, devotion and dedication, said Director Education Brig (R) DHA Sardar Mohammad at the annual prize distribution ceremony of DHA Montessori.

The ceremony was held at SKBZ College auditorium. Director Education Brig (R) Sardar Mohammad was the chief guest of the function.

The principal of the institute, Ms Ayesha Wasti delivered a brief welcome speech and introduced the honourable chief guest of the function. Ms Ayesha Wasti highlighted that Montessori education required focusing on development of skills, refinement of senses and formation of a base for personality development. She also enlightened the audience with the utmost importance of Montessori education for kids as it begins from the hour of the birth of a child.

The young kids beaming with confidence looked spectacular in their colourful costumes. They presented musical rhymes and delightful and magnificent plays which were highly applauded by the guests.

At the end chief guest Brig (R) Sardar Mohammad gave away the prizes for various academic and co-curricular activities.

He exhorted the teachers to nurture and develop the emotional intelligence of children with utmost care, devotion and dedication. He appreciated the tedious efforts of faculty for grooming the young children for making the event memorable for all the guests and parents. He also appreciated the role of parents for being very supportive at all walks of life. At last he thanked the management and faculty for the honour and praised the principal for her admirable administration.
