Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Muzaffar Syed Advocate while expressing satisfaction over auctioning processes of official vehicles has said that vehicles declared condemned are auctioned in a transparent way for brining economy in public expenditures.

This, he said while addressing a gathering on the occasion of the auctioning of official vehicles in the car park adjacent to Nestor Hall, Peshawar on Wednesday morning.Representatives of administration,Finance,excise and telecommunications departments were supervised the process of the auction.

The administration department presented 73 vehicles of different make and model for auction on the occasion.Vehicles declared surplused, condemned are scraped were auctioned. These vehicles were auctioned after completion of all code and legal formalities.

The Minster for finance said that only those vehicles which were no more used or required heavy repair cost were being auctioned. He added that such vehicles were auctioned after completion of all legal requirements to avoid buyers from any sort of embarrassment. He assured buyers that the government would be fully responsible for rectifying if any, after sales problem was found in documents of the vehicles.

Urging the need of extra care in the auction process, he asked for ensuring open building system with clear identification of positive or negatives features of the vehicle to be auctioned.
