Three die, one injured in traffic mishaps

KARACHI: Three persons, including a child were killed and one other was injured in different road accidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

According to rescue sources, a teenager, Ibad Khan, aged about 18, son of Akhtar Ali, died after being hit by a speeding vehicle on Banaras Flyover in SITE area. The body was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.

In Baldia Town, a five-year-old boy was killed when an unknown speeding car hit him in Sector No 12-D near Khyber Mosque. The victim’s identity could not be ascertained yet. The deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for a postmortem.

Separately, a youth, Wasim, 25, son of Salim, was injured when an unknown speeding car hit him near Truck Adda in Mauripur. The deceased was rushed to CHK, where he died during a treatment.

Similarly, Abdul Ghani, 18, a resident of Baldia, was injured in a traffic accident near Rangers Headquarters in Baldia No 8. He was taken to the CHK for medical assistance.
