Three killed, four injured in city violence

KARACHI: Two people were killed and four others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

A man, Zahid, 35, son of Suleman, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Mai Kolachi. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.

The six-day old body of a 60-year-old man was recovered from his home in Sector 5 G, New Karachi. It was shifted to a morgue after necessary legal formalities.

In another incident, a teenager girl, Ateeqa, daughter of Mohammad Aslam, was found strangulated to death from his house in sector 15 C, Banglow Market, Orangi Town.

According to rescue sources, a team recovered a body from Orangi Towm area and shitfed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

In another incident, a man, Amir Zia, 40, son of Ziauddin, resident of Sector 11 ½ Orangi, was shot and injured when he offered resistance to bandits during robbery in Ghaziabad, Orangi Town. He was brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for treatment.

Mohammad Ilyas, 60, and Mohammad, 30, were injured when unknown gunmen opened fire on him near Rahmat Chowk in Orangi Town. They were shifted to ASH for treatment.

Yet in another incident, a man, Afzal, 44, son of Fazal, was injured by unknown armed men at Singer Chowrangi in Korangi. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
