Three killed, six injured in city

KARACHI: Three persons were killed and six others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

Five people, Saleem, 50, son of Abdul Majeed; Khurram, 30, son of Akram; Sheema, 22, son of Akram; Muhammad Arif, 30, son of Yawar Abbas; and Muhammad Azeem, 25, son of Zafaruddin, were shot and injured when they offered resistance to dacoits during a robbery incident in Hingoora Goth, Liaquatabad’s B Area. The injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, where Saleem succumbed to his injuries during medication, while others condition was said to critical.

Police have started investigation into the incident.

An unidentified man, aged about 28, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Model Colony, Malir. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

Rescue sources said the body of a man, Mukhtar, 26, son of Ahmad Ali Shah, was found from a garbage dump near Abdullah Morr in Surjani Town. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a post mortem. They said the body was packed in a bag and there were deep signs of burn on it.

In a firing incident, two men, aged about 26, and 24, were injured by unknown gunmen in Steel Town. They were brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
