Three more fall prey to Karachi violence

KARACHI: The ongoing spree of target killing and other violences in Karachi claimed three more lives on Wednesday.

A senior lawyer, Ali Hasnain Bukhari and a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Legal Aid Committee, was targeted and killed by unknown motorcyclists outside his residence in Korangi this morning. He was pursuing several cases of the party’s missing persons.

The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities. However, police arrived at the murder scene and collected evidences.

In response to colleague’s murder, legal fraternity boycotted proceedings of Sindh High Court, City Court and Malir Sessions Courts.

Meanwhile, a man, Ali, 35, son of Sattar, was gunned down by unidentified armed men near Farooque Plaza in Korangi town area, which was brought to JPMC for an autopsy.

Yet in another incident, a man, Faheem, 32, son of Shamsuddin, was killed in a mob attack in Sakhi Hassan area. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.

Reason behind the killing could not be ascertained yet.
