Trade: (Bogus associations be barred from vote in FPCCI elections: Bilour)November 9, 2015
ISLAMABAD: Central leader of the United Business Group (UBG) Senator Ilyas Bilour has said that fake chambers and associations would not be allowed to take part in upcoming FPCCI elections.
Bogus trade associations should not be allowed to have an impact on the outcome of the elections which is illegal and unethical, he said in a statement here on Tuesday.
Senator Ilyas Bilour said that real representatives of the business community must come to power as efforts to install artificial leadership in the Apex chamber would be resisted.
He said those who lost power in the FPCCI after ruling and plundering it for decades have managed to get some fake chambers and association registered in Fata and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aiming to hijack election process. Bilour said that UBG has won hearts and minds of business community across Pakistan within one years which has unnerved the Businessman Panel.
The rejected panel has sensed their defeat therefore they are using negative tactics to win voters which will remain counterproductive, he underlined. Meanwhile for presidents of KP Chamber of Commerce Haji Afzal, Zahid Shinwari and Riaz Arshad have said that UBG will win elections from KP and rest of the provinces.
They said that Businessman Panel has looted FPCCI funds for personal welfare for decades, thus they have lost confidence of the business community and will be rejected again.
