Transport department restores faulty traffic signals

KARACHI: On the directive of Administrator Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Transport & Communication Department of KMC performed immediate repairing to restore all the traffic signals which had developed technical faults during recent rains in the city.

The Administrator had taken strict notice of non-functioning traffic signals on important corridors and instructed the T&C department to arrange for immediate repairing of all those signals.

The traffic control and operational signal unit of the T&C department on emergency basis conducted a survey of signals installed at the junction of MA Jinnah Road and Mansfield Street, Abdullah Haroon Road and Shara-e-Iraq, Sharea Faisal and Fatima Jinnah Road, Chowdhry Khaliq-uz-Zaman Road and Chartered Accounts Avenue, Khyaban-e-Jami and Khyaban-e-Saadi, Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani Road and Olympian Islahuddin Road, Shaheed-e-Millat Road and Siraj-ud-Daula Road, Shaheed-e-Millat Road and Tipu Sultan Road and removed all the cable, card faults and circuit-breaker damage which had been developed there during the rainy season.
