KARACHI: President Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) Mohammad Ashraf Banglori on Sunday expressed concern over the horrific coach accident near Karachi in which 59 passengers were killed.

In a statement, he said that due to incompetence and negligence of Sindh government, another horrific accident had occurred in a short span of time. “The condition of all roads in interior Sindh is not hidden from anyone, as despite billion rupees funds use, the attention on the construction of roads was not being paid. The road lights are not available at several places, he said and added: “After any accident, fire brigade does not reach the site of incident on time, which is worst negligence of the Sindh government.”

Banglori further said that the vehicles going toward interior Sindh are not checked at any places by the government institutions, and speed of the vehicles is also not checked. The absence of traffic police and police on roads is the main reason behind the horrific incidents. He called for immediate repairs of roads and lights at reasonable places.
