Two alleged Lyari gang war criminals nabbed

KARACHI: Anti-Extremist Cell (AEC) of the Crime Investigation Department (CID), Sindh Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested two alleged members of Lyari gang war.

In-charge CID AEC Ali Raza said that on a tip-off, CID police conducted a targeted raid at Gutter Baghicha in Manghopir and arrested two criminals Naveed and Faizan. He said that the arrested accused had confessed to their link to Lyari gang war.

Raza said that arrested criminals were involved the killing of eight people in the city. He said that accused Naveed is the real cousin of notorious criminal Baba Ladla.

He said that two pistols and two hand grenades were also recovered from the possession of arrested criminals. Further investigation was underway.
