Umerkot closed to mourn LB polls violence victims

Umerkot, Sindh: Umerkot and many other towns and villages remained shut on Sunday to mourn the killing of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) workers in firing at Ranipur during local bodies elections previous day.

Umerkot, Chhot, Sufi Faqeer, Dhoro Naro, Raja Rasi, Ghulam Nabi Shah, Pithoro and other towns remained shut and protest demos and rallied held there to condemn murder of PML-F men in Khairpur district.

In Umerkot a big protest rally was staged led by PML-F Senator Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah.

Talking to media Shah accused the PPPP of carrying out terrorism tactics in the local government polls, especially in district Khairpur. He said the blood of the innocent people would not go in vain and they will continue their struggle till the killers are arrested.
