KARACHI: Four persons were killed and five others injured in Karachi violence on Tuesday. According to Station House Officer (SHO) PS Saeedabad and rescue sources, unknown accused opened fire on a Shehzor truck No KQ-2193 of K-Electric near Grid Station at Saeedabad Sector 8/B. Resultantly, driver Shabir, 45, son of Piyare Khan, was killed while Ashfaq, 35, son of Mohammad Khan and Ubaid, 40, were injured. Killed and injured were employees of K-Electric.
The body and injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-formalities and treatment respectively.
In a separate incident, unknown motorcyclist shot dead a man Raja alias Amanullah, 45, son of Ahmedullah at Ghous Pak Road, Korangi and escaped.
He was going to drop children in school when he was killed. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained yet.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for an autopsy.
In another firing incident, Syed Adeel, 45, son of Razi Hassan, resident of Goli Mar, was killed by unknown persons in Hassan Colony, Golimar. The body was shifted to ASH for an autopsy.
In yet another firing incident, aged person belonging to Hindu community, Raja Chawal, 70, son of Ram Chand, was killed by unknown persons near Zamzama Park. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-formalities.
A youth Mohammad Arshad, 26, son of Mohammad Ibrahim, resident of Mehmoodabad, was injured in firing by unknown persons near Chanesar Goth in Mehmoodabad. He was shifted JPMC for treatment.
Dr Jagdish, Medical Legal Officer (MLO) Jinnah Hospital reported that a person namely Ashiq son Ibrahim aged about 35 years was brought to hospital for treatment from Parsi Gate, Mehmoodabad, having received bullet injuries due to firing of unknown accused. The incident occurred over resistance during snatching.
In yet another separate incident, Sohail, 55, son of Miskeen, resident of Baldia Town, was injured in firing by unknown persons near Baldia Sector 9-D. The injured was shifted to ASH for treatment.
