UPDATED: Three killed, four injured in Karachi

KARACHI: Three people were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence in the city on Wednesday.

Maqsood Qadri, 25, was shot dead and Nadeem Qadri, 30, shot and injured by unidentified armed men in Korangi No 5 ½. The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy and treatment respectively.

Separately, an unidentified man, aged 35, was shot dead by unidentified armed men near Lal Bukhsh Chowk in Frontier Colony No 3, Landhi. The body was shifted to JPMC for a postmortem examination.

Some unidentified armed men shot dead an unknown youth, aged 22, near Gharib Shah Mazar in Chakiwara, Lyari. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities.

Three policemen were injured during a shootout at Banaras Flyover. The injured were shifted to ASH for treatment.
