Uplift of appliances and equipments industry urged

Karachi: Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig Prime Minister Advisor on Textile has said that the “the country has developed its industry of electrical and electronic appliances and equipments and its projection through this fair will bode well for the emerging industry, expanding its volume locally and international and creating business and job opportunities in future.”

This he said while addressing as a chief guest in inauguration ceremony of Industrial Electrical and Electronics Exhibition of Pakistan (IEEEP Fair 2014) here at Expo Centre Karachi.

He added that “such type of fairs would not only reflect vast trade opportunities that exist in the field of electrical and electronics but also create awareness regarding the use of electronic and electric goods and its various solutions”. “Such exhibitions will also provide chances of contracts and relations in the field of trade will improve in local and international markets.”

While responding to the media he said that “the political harmony is vital for bringing any investment in the country and current showdown has proven a stalemate towards these important objectives. He further commented that some of the neighbouring countries are performing better in exports than Pakistan due to political stability and effective economic policies.

On this occasion Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig congratulated IEEEP Karachi Centre and Badar Expo Solutions for organizing this mega event. He also visited different stalls along with Engr. Asif Siddiqui Chairman IEEEP, Mr. Zohair Naseer Chief Operating Officer Badar Expo Solutions, Mr. Syed Faisal Ali Project Head (IEEP) Badar Expo Solutions, Naveed Ansari and, Engr. Ahmed Zubair of IEEEP. Mr. Zohair Naseer Chief Operating Officer Badar Expo Solutions present the Fair Memento of Chief Guest.

Earlier, Asif Siddiqui Chairman IEEEP, Karachi Centre informed that IEEEP Fair 2014 has been country’s premier Electrical & Electronics Industry exhibition will cover the very latest technology of electrical, electronics, lighting, telecommunication, instrumentation and control, allied services and other related industries.

While Zohair Naseer, COO Badar Expo Solutions The Event Manager informed that the fair has grown from its past events and this year more than 70 exhibitors are participating both from Pakistan and abroad. He said that the IEEEP fair will be organized annually as the response from industry stakeholders is overwhelming and encouraging for new players in the local and international market.”
