Uplift schemes of SMBBMU to complete next year

LARKANA: The Director, Planning Commission of Pakistan, Mohammed Rafique Hakro has said that due to some previous bottlenecks the development works of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana were delayed but with the efforts of present Vice Chancellor works on these development schemes has been accelerated.

Hakro said that all development schemes of the university will be completed by December 31, 2016 under the existing budget as envisaged earlier.

He said that total expenditure of all the approved schemes is Rs949 million out of which Higher Education Commission has released Rs550 million and buildings construction work is underway adding that 65% of the works have so far been completed which include Nursing Hostel, Nursing Institute, Academic block, Auditorium Hall & two seminar halls, administration block and four basic units of post-graduation.
