Weather: Twin-cities to receive more rain

Islamabad: According to met office twin-cities Rawalpindi and Islamabad will receive more rain in next twenty-four hours.

Different parts of the country received showers during the last 24 hours were: Balakot 65, Puttan 32, Chirat 23, Gilgit 20, Kohat 15, Murree 14, Peshawar (Airport 10, City 07), Abbottabad 10, Dir 09, Islamabad 07, Sedu Sharif 05, Bonji, Kalam 03, Sialkot, Hunza 02 mm. Rain with thundershower is expected in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Peshawar, Malakand, Hazara, Kohat, Bannu divisions and Kashmir.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Saturday morning was. Islamabad and Gilgit 20 degree centigrade, Lahore 25, Karachi 28, Peshawar 24, Quetta and Muzaffarabad 22 and Murree 18 degree centigrade.

According to synoptic situation, seasonal low lies over North Balochistan and adjoining areas with its trough extending north-eastwards. Moderate monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of the country. A fresh western disturbance is also affecting upper parts.
