Women harassment: 24 complaints centres established in Sindh

KARACHI: The Provincial Ombudsman Sindh under its project “Protection against Harassment of Women at Workplaces” has set up online help service through face book, twitter, website and email to receive complaints and rescue in the cases of harassment of women at work places and also established 24 complaints centres across the province.

According to a press release issued by the office of the Provincial Ombudsman Sindh here Tuesday, complainants have been advised to approach this office through website: www.sindh.gov.pk/ dpt/ provincial ombudsman/ index.HTM: face book: Face book.com/ ombudsman PHWWP; Twitter: com/ ombudsman phwwp, http:// linkedin.com/ in/ provincial ombudsman-Sindh-phwwp-1a3073b2; email ombudsman-phwwp@yahoo.com and fax No. 021-99222747 and lodge their complaints for immediate action.

With a view to ensure implementation of law in vogue, 24 complaints centres have also been established across the province including six centres in six districts of Karachi metropolis, where women can lodge their complaints for immediate redressal.
