Work on FIFA Training Centre in Khanewal begins

Karachi: Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Wednesday inaugurated the work on the construction of international football body FIFA sponsored FIFA Training Centre and Football Ground at Khanewal.

The training centre will have a full boarding and lodging facility for 200 football players. This FIFA Goal Project will spread over eight acres of land allocated for the project by District Government Khanewal on a 30 years lease to PFF.

PFF will bear the running costs for the maintenance of FIFA Football Centre. The project is launched Wednesday with a completion target of one and a half year.

General Secretary PFF Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi thanked Punjab Government and DCO Khanewal for allotting eight acres of land located on G.T road for this historic FIFA Football Training Centre.

This FIFA Football Training Centre will be the eighth FIFA Football Training Centre in Pakistan. Other centers are being constructed and few have been completed at Sukkur, Jacobabad, Quetta, Abbottabad, Karachi, Peshawar and Lahore.
