Worst kind rumpus witnessed in KP Assembly

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Thursday witnessed severs rumpus and exchange of hot words among the members of treasury and opposition benches when Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf’s members took to their seats to protest opposition leader remarks.

The house echoed with “ Go Nawaz Go” and “Ro Imran Ro” when female members of PTI protested Maulana Lutfur Rahman’s remarks that PTI has organized ‘female dance’ in sit-in Islamabad.

Minister for public works Shah Farman and MPA Fazal Elahi of PTI tried to reach the opposition benches and involve in Physical scuffle with opposition members however Assembly security staff stops them and tried to vacate Assembly hall of those protesting inside the hall.

The entire opposition members shouted against the PTI members who were protesting against the remarks of Maulana Lutfur Rahman. It was hard for the security staff to control the enraged minister Shah Farman and advisor to CM Fazale Elahi.

Some of the ministers tried stop the emotionally charged members from the treasury benches who were hardly trying to reach the opposition members.

Minister for public health Shah Farman later told reporters outside the assembly hall that opposition leader used derogatory remarks against PTI female workers who are protesting against rigging in Islamabad.

He said that opposition leader talked in the same tune in which JUI chief addresses public meeting. “He should know about the difference of Assembly floor and Public meeting” Shah Farman said adding his remarks were against Islamic and Pukhtun Culture.
