Z.A Bhutto Medical College has not been shifted to Nowshera:Shehram Tarakai

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Health, Shehram Khan Tarakai has strongly refuted news item regarding the shifting of the ongoing scheme of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical College from Peshawar to Nowshera.

Minister has clarified that the said scheme approved in the previous government is not only exists on its place in Peshawar but the present provincial government has also allocated a fund to the tune of Rs. 440 million for the project in the financial budget of the last year of which Rs. 170 million have been released by June, 2014.

A statement issued here he has termed such news item as baseless and said that a fund of Rs. 80.00 million has also been released for the said project during the current financial year.

The Provincial Minister has further clarified that the ADP No. of the project was 385 whereas Nowshera Medical College is a separate and new ADP scheme bearing No. 395 for which a fund of Rs. 70.00 million has been initially allocated in the current financial year and practical work on the project is yet to be started. Shahram Khan has urged upon his political opponents to avoid such misleading and baseless propaganda.
