Zardari deplores cops’ killing

KARACHI: Former President and Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday condemned the killings of five policemen in Peshawar and Quetta at the hands of terrorists and urged the both provincial governments to jack up their efforts against terrorism.

In a press statement issued here, Asif Ali Zardari said the police force was bravely fighting valiantly against these terrorists in its jurisdictions. Sacrifices of the law enforcing agencies, including police, will always be eulogized by the nation.

He expressed sympathies with the victims and assured them that PPP leadership and workers will always stand in solidarity with them.
