TCF 12th Golf Tournament concludes at Karachi Golf ClubDecember 20, 2015
Karachi: The 12th Golf Tournament organized by The Citizens Foundation (TCF) brought together the leading golfers of the city who played for education at Karachi Golf Club, Karsaz.
The two-day tournament was a fund raiser which generated proceeds to give more Pakistani children a chance to get quality education at TCF schools.
The tournament was played by more than 350 golfers in 40 teams as well as individually including accomplished business people, corporate heads, socialites and other supporters of TCF’s commitment to quality education for all.
“TCF Golf Tournament is our annual fund-raising sports event that has become increasingly popular among the golfers of Karachi. It’s a unique event that lets golfers cherish the spirit of the game while also supporting education. Now in its 12th year, TCF Golf Tournament continues to gain traction from the golfers and we are increasingly overwhelmed with their growing support towards TCF. The proceeds collected from the event help us immensely in educating the children of Pakistan who are our only hope for a brighter future,” said Mushtaq Chhapra, Chairman TCF who is an ace golfer himself.
The major categories in the competition are ladies, juniors, veterans, seniors and amateurs. This year the main sponsors of the event were National Bank of Pakistan, Bank Al Habib Limited, Premier Insurance Ltd, Chevron Pakistan Ltd, Indus Motors and Crescent Steel & Allied Products.
Other in-kind donors were Rizwan Rasheed of Richa Leathers, Imran Gheewala of Selimpex International, Tariq Shafi of Renfro Crescent, Asim Shabbir Patka of Millennium Textile Mills and Yasin Kassam of Pakistan Beverages.

At the presentation ceremony held on the final day, prizes were distributed among the winners and runner ups.
Fari Sayeed and Aania Farooq were winner and runner-up in ladies event. Mast Waleed A Chachar and Master Ahmed Shan were winner and runner-up in juniors event.
Retd. Adm. Hasan M Ansari won veteran event while Asghar Aliin was the runner-up. Sajid Sharif annexed senior’s men’s event title while Saqeq Sayeed was runner-up. Capt. Imran Rana won amateur event while Waleed A Chachar was the runner-up.
Owais Intesar, Ali Abbas Sikandar, Mohammad Intesar and Omar Intesar were declared as the winning team while Abdullah Nasir, Azhar Abbas, Azhar Hameed and Nasrullah Shaikh stood as the runner-up side.
