12,000 street children lives in Karachi

Karachi: Sahar Foundation Trust Karachi organized a one-day free medical camp for street children in Clifton area here on Friday.

Renowned ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctors checked up around 119 street children and also provided them free of cost medicines.

The medical camp was inaugurated by Syed Rafiq Shah. The Sahar Foundation Trust also arranged reception for street children during the medical camp.

Talking to media, Chairman Sahar Foundation Iftikhar Ghazali said street children collected trash from city streets to earn their livelihood. He said around 12,000 street children lives in Karachi roads and most of them use to collect junk for their daily bread and butter.
