17 prisoners released from Malir jails

Karachi: District and Sessions Judge Malir paid a visit to Malir Jail and ordered release of 17 inmates.

Under the new Judicial Policy of the Supreme Court of Pakistan SCP, the District and Sessions Judge Malir Muhammad Yameen, Judicial Magistrate Nadir Khan Burdi, ADC Malir Iqbal Ahmed Mirani and General Secretary Saiban Haider Ali Haider visited District Jail Malir.

Superintendent Syed Nazir Hussain Shah Deputy Superintendent Agha Zulfiqar, Dr. Farman Shah, Dr. Kashif Iqbal, Assistant Superintendents Arshad Shah, Asif Sarfaraz, Kamal Bukhari, and other jail officials were present.

Judge Muhammad Yameen went round various barracks, met the prisoners and acquired about the details of ongoing cases in various courts. He met the prisoners in barracks and listened to their problems and assured them of speedy justice.

On the occasion large number of prisoners presented applications for an early hearing of their cases while many submitted applications for review of the court decisions.

During his visit to various barracks, 12, prisoners after accepting Alleged Crimes Pleaded Guilty the Judge ordered to release them as well and 05 prisoners informed the judge that they had completed their sentence but are in jail because of inability to pay the fined amount.

Chairman Saiban, Haq Nawaz Akhtar paid the amount of the fines, Travelling expenses and got them 17 prisoners released.
